What happens when the credit limit expires?

As the credit limit expires, the bank will assess your creditworthiness based on the responsible lending regulations of the Bank of Lithuania Consumer Credit and, for that purpose, will check information in public and private registers. If the information is not enough, the bank will send a request from the credit@citadele.lt e-mail address via the "My applications" self-service website to provide the specific missing information required for the solvency assessment. Upon completion of the creditworthiness assessment and based on 3.2p. of the conditions for granting a credit limit. the bank will extend the credit limit for a new period of 3 years or, based on paragraph 3.2, reduce it or inform about the termination of the credit limit. The customer will see the status of the credit limit extension process and the decision on the "My applications" self-service website.

3.2. The Bank has the right to automatically extend the use of the Credit Limit for 3 (three) years, leaving the same amount of the Credit Limit or reducing it. The Bank also has the right, at its discretion, to extend the term of use of the Credit Limit for each subsequent period of 3 (three) years.

3.3. If the Bank decides not to extend the term of use of the Credit limit, the Bank informs the Customer about this no later than 30 (thirty) calendar days before the end of the Credit limit term, and the Customer must return the entire amount of Credit used and make all payments according to the Credit limit granting agreement until the last Credit limit days of the limit usage period.
